Hello and thank you for visiting my blog!

If you're new here, I am documenting my journey through a Trichology Certification course. I'm a licensed Hairstylist of 13 years and I became an Esthetician 5 years before that.

Over time my interests in the beauty industry have evolved from brazilian waxing in San Diego in my early twenties to seamless color projects at an Aveda salon starting the year I married my husband and now, scalp health as a Holistic Hair Stylist at the first fume-free salon in Southern Oregon. A blend of personal and professional experiences have led me here but I feel like overall, this is the clearest I've ever been about my career.

I've been working on my certification for roughly 7 weeks now and it's already changed so much about how I approach caring for guests. My consultation questions are more focused and have allowed me to make greater progress during treatments than I was before.

Guests are seeing relief from irritation and progress with hair growth. I couldn't be happier with how much my treatments have improved simply by deepening my knowledge. In the coming months I will be adding more hair and scalp treatments using the newest technology and cleanest products on the market.

There has been a vision in my head for longer than I probably realize of having a space filled with botanical serums for hair, scalp and skin. Many will be made in house by me (eventually) and a select few will come from brands I know make products that actually do what they say they will, using ingredients that don't compromise the earth or our health. It will be an apothecary salon space and I'm excited to bring it to life. I hope you'll join me for the journey!
